Occupy London launches music label – video
Occupation Records is the music label creation of Occupy London. Its first album, Folk the Banks, is scheduled for launch on 15 February. The Guardian was given a sneak-preview of some of its 17 tracks, including those by Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly’s Sam Duckworth. The album, the first of a projected four, will be made available for download on a pay-what-you-can basis

“TERRYWOOD” By Terry Richardson
Το πολυσυζητημένο παλικάρι, με το καραφλό κεφάλι, τα nerd γυαλιά και τα hipster πουκάμισα που κάθε φορά μας μεταδίδει έντονα την soft porn αισθητική του, αποφάσισε να κάνει την πρώτη του Solo έκθεση. Η Έκθεση φέρει τον τίτλο “Terrywood” και σκοπεύει να παρουσιάσει πάνω από 25 φωτογραφίες χωρισμένες σε sets, όλες ιδωμένες μέσα από τον δικό του “nasty” φωτογραφικό φακό.
Ο Richardson κάθε φορά αναλαμβάνει να αποκρυσταλλώνει έννοιες όπως “Celebrity”, “Hollywood” “Fame” και τα καταφέρνει περίφημα (;). Στην εν λόγω έκθεση αναμένεται η τιτλοφόρηση ειδικών παρτίδων όπως “Untitled Hollywood” όπως και “Untitled nude” που θα φλερτάρουν όπως πάντα με την μεγαλομανία των Stars του, την ματαιότητα, το trash και άλλους ορισμούς που καλύπτουν την διασημότητα και το φωτογραφικό του σύμπαν.
Η έκθεση θα είναι διαθέσιμη απο 24 Φεβρουαρίου μέχρι 31 Μαρτίου 2012 στο Los Angeles (937 N. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90069) ενώ μέχρι στιγμής δεν είναι διαθέσιμο κανένα έκθεμα, παρά μόνο η παραπάνω φωτογραφία που αντιπροσωπεύει το Promo.

Μια χούφτα από remixes μουσικών τελείως διαφορετικών μεταξύ τους. Τα τραγούδια τους είναι μια “συναισθηματική έκρηξη” όπως τα αποκαλούν, ενώ η ιστορία της μπάντας έχει υφανθεί με κινηματογραφική χροιά. Πορνεία, σεξ, ναρκωτικά, ατέλειωτες βόλτες στις επαρχιακές πόλεις της Αμερικής. Το album τους King Night έγινε talk of the town στα κλειστές καλλιτεχνικές κάστες της Νέας Υόρκης, ενώ αποτέλεσε και έμπνευση για τον σχεδιαστή Riccardo Tisci ντύνοντας ηχητικά ένα fashion show του οίκου Givenchy. Σχήμα οξύμωρο. Γιατί οι Salem είναι μια ομάδα που γεννά ghostly sounds.

The moniker Sam Benjamin currently enjoys, “Ivy League graduate-turned-pornographer”, may be a bit over-simplified, but it gets to the heart of it. To his credit, he was shooting for “Ivy League graduate-turned-progressive-art-pornographer”, but that didn’t quite work out as planned. Luckily for those of us that prefer degenerate voyeurism over degenerate exhibitionism (and I mean degenerate in the best possible way), he’s written it all down for us—a three year odyssey detailed in his new book, American Gangbang: A Love Story.
